Ed was instrumental to the C.A.T. back in the “Redding Days”, he served on the board of directors, he obtained loyal support from many wildlife conservation organizations for award sponsors, & through his floor company, he & his staff carpeted ALL 36 of our show display backboards which we all still enjoy to this day.

He owned & operated Buck’s Taxidermy in Redding CA. Ed lived for the outdoors & his loving family. All of us here at the C.A.T. send our sincere condolences to Ed’s family & friends. RIP cowboy, you will be missed❤️

We are saddened to receive the news of the passing of a longtime C.A.T. family member, Mr. Don Cameron. A gentle giant, a man of few words, & fish taxidermist extraordinaire.

He was always willing to donate his artwork to the live auction at the annual California Association of Taxidermist’s awards banquet. Don served as a board member of the C.A.T., an organization he loved dearly.

Chad Hornbuckle was a phenomenal taxidermist, he was a loving husband, father, mentor, business owner, & friend.

Just prior to the end of his courageous battle with cancer in 2014, Chad requested that the C.A.T. provide their members an annual award to recognize the wildlife artist that shows the most improvement, from the previous year.

Chad based his request upon his personal beliefs in hard work, the desire to become better at your craft, & to instill the drive to attain your goals in becoming the best you can be.
